ADVOCACY
The BAA seeks to advocate for beautiful design in the public realm by:
Sponsoring design competitions for public projects and inviting submissions from young designers.
Supporting the winning team in design development working alongside senior design advisors.
Fully illustrating and rendering the design.
Launching the design into the public sphere.
The idea for this was born out of our decades long work on a new design for Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, which has gone from a dream and a journal cover to being foregrounded as one of several viable options by major news outlets.

PENN STATION AND MSG PILOT PROJECT
The public interest must predominate in the debate about Penn Station’s future and an independent review of various through-running plans must be commissioned.
In the past 5 years alone, our proposals have gained traction and gone from being relatively unknown to being front and center of the public discourse about the future of Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.
Through our work with ReThink Penn Station NYC we have been able to broaden our reach and connect with a larger plan for through running transit.
The goal is to catalyze a public design competition for the new Penn Station and MSG-and win!

In the Press
We can create inspiring conditions for commuters and travelers who have endured dreary commutes for over six decades, and give the city facilities worthy of any metropolis on Earth.
..I hear from New Yorkers young and old that they want to see the old station rebuilt. McKim, Mead & White were the greatest architects in the history of America...why not let the public decide?
Richard Cameron...takes the inspiration of the original Penn Station to another level entirely...
